Starting this May a bunch of mediocre, financially-crippled American airlines (US Airways, United, et al.) are instituting a new rule that every additional piece of luggage checked in is charged $25. Each way. So if you check in three pieces of luggage, a roundtrip flight will dock you an extra $100. Ugh.
No bailout on Wall Street, no backup from the Feds.
According to the list, some exceptions include "unaccompanied minors" and "active military personnel". Of course if you put the two together you get "unaccomplished major".
United Airlines, my hometown airline, used to kick ass. Now its just....the United Center. Don't make me go there. Although I wouldn't mind it.
