Springfield isn't just the city in The Simpsons.Last night someone brought it up in a stump speech.
Back in the day it was a two-day trip downstate, where I opened up the Rand McNally and later gave a tour of the inside cavity of Abe Lincoln's marble nostrils to a group of kids sniffing paint thinner and chewing gummy worms.
